If 2011 Bama can lay claim with one loss then 2007 LSU must be TWICE as good...duh

What is your reasoning for 2010 auburn last? You really think cam would of lost to 06 Florida (who Brandon cox beat), or 07 lsu who Kentucky and arky beat? The rest I can see a good argument, but those two are laughable.

Best overall team was probably 2009 Bama

Agreed. And actually the 2nd best SEC champ in the past decade would be this year's 'Bama team in my opinion followed by the '03 LSU Tigers, '08 Gators, '10 Auburn, '07 Tigers and '06 Gators.

This is overall

1. 2011 Alabama Crimson Tide
2. 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide
2. 2011 LSU Tigers
2. 2008 Florida Gators
3. 2007 LSU Tigers
4. 2006 Florida Gators

5.2010 Auburn Tigers

2008 Florida
2011 Alabama
2009 Alabama
2010 Auburn
2007 LSU
2006 Florida

The 2007 LSU team would be much higher imo if they were healthy all year. During the season, LSU lost Early Doucet, Glenn Dorsey, and Matt Flynn, 3 senior leaders. Although losing Flynn didn't hurt too much because Perrilloux stepped up in the SECCG.

Still think 2008 Florida was the best, that team was sick. Still have no idea how they managed a loss against Ole Miss.

I put 2011 Bama > 2009 Bama, even though 09 Bama was undefeated - they struggled against two unranked teams. '11 Bama didn't struggle at all this season except for 1 game.

I think 2010 Auburn was a damn good team, but didn't have that elite level defense of the top 3.

Bear with me, it'll be worth it.

Wow, you really are butthurt aren't you? If any team shouldn't be included on the list, it's Auburn. I won't even say anything about Auburn paying scam newton. Even the 2007 LSU tigers had a balanced team, and it would have been a great game against auburn between the 2 bottom champions(not that I'm saying that the teams aren't good, it's just the other teams are great.) Don't agree? Look at Auburn's scores:

Difference:
unranked Clemson: 27-24 OT D: 3
unranked Mississippi State: 17-14 D: 3
#12 South Carolina: 35-27 D: 8
unranked Kentucky: 37-34 D: 3
#12 Arkansas: you allowed 43 points LAWL
#6 LSU: 24-17 D: 7
#11 Alabama: 28-27 D: 1
Oregon: 22-19, don't get me started D: 3

Where am I going with this? Look at 2007 LSU scores, the team that you say shouldn't even belong.

surely you jest.

unranked Mississippi State: 17-14 D: 3
#12 South Carolina: 35-27 D: 8
unranked Kentucky: 37-34 D: 3

We did win all three of those games. A "W" is "W".

quote:

#12 Arkansas: you allowed 43 points LAWL

And we beat them by 22 points. STFU.

quote:

#6 LSU: 24-17 D: 7

Obviously the 526 yards on offense against the vaunted LSU defense, including 440 yards rushing still bothers you.

quote:

#11 Alabama: 28-27 D: 1

We came back from a 24 point deficit and beat them in their own house. Once again, a "W" is "W".

quote:

Oregon: 22-19, don't get me started D: 3

Once again, a "W" is "W", and our Crystal Trophy is fricking fabulous.

What is your reason behind having Auburn that low? And lmfao cause LSU 2007 actually LOST 2 games. They are the unanimous last place NC team.

The fact that you have to use that argument is hilarious.

quote:

And we beat them by 22 points. STFU.

You allowed 43 points.

quote:

Obviously the 526 yards on offense against the vaunted LSU defense, including 440 yards rushing still bothers you.be the same as it is today.

If yards won games, college football would not be the same as it is today. Oh, and it bothers me as much as the 533 yards against 2011 LSU's defense did.

quote:

We came back from a 24 point deficit and beat them in their own house. Once again, a "W" is "W".

Once again, the same terrible argument, and you still only beat an Alabama team that had 9 new starters on defense by 1.

Once again, a "W" is "W", and our Crystal Trophy is fricking fabulous.

Again? We aren't talking about crystal footballs, we're talking about a team's skill.

Any more stupid comments? I suggest you go look at 2007 LSU's scores before you post again.

Auburn had no defense whatsoever. They played 3 "good" teams that year. Alabama who had lost 9 starters they beat by 1 after being down by 24 points. They only scored 24 points on an LSU defense that wasn't as good as 2007 LSU's and allowed 17 points against an LSU offense that was not half as good as 2007 LSU's offense. They beat the only other good team they played that year, Oregon by 3. Also, the score was tied 19-19 with 2 min left in the game and went 30 yards on a fluke play. I don't see what is so complicated about this. I understand you're homers, but come on.

Edit: Also, I was just being an arse. Auburn would go 1 space beneath 2007 LSU, not 4.

Best offense: '10 Auburn
Best defense: '11 Alabama
Best team: '08 Florida

Florida had the best resume of wins of any SEC championship team, IMO. Wins over Miami, LSU, Kentucky, Georgia, Vandy (7 win team), South Carolina and FSU by at least 23 points. Beat #1 Alabama in the SEC championship. Held the highest scoring offense in CFB history to 14 points. +22 turnover margin and average margin of victory was 31 points.

Not really. :insert any U MAD pic here: A win on the field is all that really matters, and guess what? We won those games.

and we beat them by 22 points. How you don't comprehend this is beyond me.

Ok fine, not counting your OOC games:

Miss State: W 45–0
South Carolina: W 28–16
Florida: W 28–24
Kentucky: L 37–43
Auburn: W 30–24
Alabama: W 41–34
Ole Miss: W 41–24
Arkansas: L 48–50
Tennessee: W 21–14

What is so special about a 2 loss team?

While we're at it here is Auburn's:
Miss State: W 17–14
South Carolina: W 35–27
Kentucky: W 37–34
Arkansas: W 65–43
LSU: W 24–17
Ole Miss: W 51–31
UGA: W 49–31
Alabama: W 28–27
South Carolina: W 56–17

**If you can't see the difference between these two teams, you're beyond help**

In defense of LSU, those two scores were big because the games went into triple overtime.

I bolded them bc they lost those two games. Honestly, I don't care what the score was. A "W" is "W" and a "L" is a "L". itsover9000 saying AU 10' doesn't belong on the list is asinine and screams "I'm butt-hurt."

2007 LSU- Lost two games. How can you possibly try to argue they are better than 2010 AU?

Win margins and points are nothing in comparison to wins and losses.

My god...

you are truly a dumbass.

Your obviously a homer, but maybe I can get you to understand something. First, I will respond to your comment. I responded to someone else saying that LSU didn't belong on the list. I never said Auburn didn't belong(don't go back to the post where I said "if anyone doesn't belong etc), it's not the same thing.

Now, the thing is, technically, your right. However, if we look at both of LSU's games, it could have went either way. Then we look at your 5 games where you won by less than or equal to 3 points and again, the game could have went either way. This is why I say it's pathetic when you use the "A W is a W" excuse, because you have nothing else but that. Nothing is wrong with that when your discussing who won what. But when we talk in terms of skill, anybody that uses that argument is just looking for an excuse because they have no other.
