I love that all the Gumps think TM7 won't cut it in the NFL based on the NCG where he got beat a few times...... as a sophomore

Originally it wasn't a gump that said that.

Secondly, I think many on here have made it known why they don't think he can play at the next level and it has nothing to do with the NC game.

FWIW, I think he's a great player and he'll play in the NFL. He just got flat out embarrased on the biggest stage in college football. Bad enough that he and his fanbase that worshipped him deserve a little ribbing.

Huh? He had some passes caught on him by bigger receivers and was held in check by high punts. That's hardly getting embarrassed. Now if you want to start a thread about our embarrassing arse offense I'd gladly join in on that shite-fest.

I don't think anyone on the defense got embarrassed. We played that side of the ball painfully well; that's what made it hurt so bad. We were still in striking distance well into the 4th quarter, in what was clearly a losing effort. I don't fault any of the defense on your QB's game, as he had one of those games where he was perfect.

As for us "worshipping" the kid, I think a lot has to do with him being to put up such unbelievable stats, while at the same time being so small. You have linebackers who might be 100 pounds heavier, with nowhere near the forced fumbles. He's like the Waterboy.
