It just amounts to people who actually let a football team determine their self-worth. They invested too much of themselves into this great season, and when it wasn't finished in the perfect way, they felt some form of personal failure... therefore they are searching for anything that could help explain why the football team failed to bring them the satisfaction that they should be finding in other things.

LSU fans who have football in the proper perspective can take a step back, appreciate a great year, and tip their hat to Bama and acknowledge that it was just their night. My .02

At the end of the night all you can say is that my beloved Tigers got their @ss kicked up and down the field by Saban's evil empire. The Tide was the better team in every facet on Monday night. Any commentary, excuses, etc. to the contrary is pure crap. From one (1) Sec foe to another, congrats to the Tide and hopefully LSU kicks @ss next season. Geaux Tigers!

That's exactly how I feel. I do have a sick feeling because of how we dominated so many good teams this year only to lose so badly, but even then, it's still a great season and we lost to a very, very good team. People just don't realize that we do have a football season starting this fall and we're going to be just as good if not better.
