quote:He was a COWARD! He stood around on the sidelines second guessing himself everytime the team go into a tough situation. He was horrible - far and away the worst coach Alabama has had in the post Bryant era.
He was a professional football-lifer plugged into a bad situation in May of 2003. Not that ideal spot. He coached like a NFL coach too. That was his fall. Not to mention recruiting for the first time and inheriting a depleted roster. He in no way compares to Les Miles. And before you call me a Shula apologist, and accuse me of one of those fans wanting him back for a fifth season, I wanted him fired too. However, I know why he failed. He was set up for failure with what he brought to the table (and no, not in a conspiratorial way).

You have obviously never met the man, nor have a clue about his character. He may have been ill-suited for the Alabama head coaching job, but a coward he is not.
