Has anyone else ever heard the civil war explanation? That there was so much blood in the water that when the tide rolled in it was blood red? (I would assume that it was maybe Pensacola Bay?)

I know the standard explanation is the O-Line during an old Auburn game... but I've heard the civil war connection as well. Just curious if I am the only one.

I've only heard of the line rolling like a Crimson Tide. Never heard of the civil war reference.
