Newberg on ESPN tweeted that he decided he wanted to go to Alabama two years ago. Not sure if that's true, or if it contradicts the girlfriend story.
This slowness is impeding the meltdown which is a shame.
I could definitely see him switching, but I don't think this was a spur of the moment thing. Just my opinion. It's more likely his mom has already said these things to him and he still chose Alabama.

Mom was even rocking the purple bra. I think she believed he was going to announce for LSU.

No way Collins flips back to LSU. That young man is probably dying to get 300 miles away from that woman.
