I don't think it was fear, but him knowing nobody was likely getting in the endzone

I would agree. Bama's gameplan was beyond stupid. Saban was a complete idiot thinking he could run on and wear down a Dline that goes 8 deep and rotates more than any team in the SEC.
I remember my gump buddy was texting me saying LSU would wear down. I specifically remember calling him a complete idiot over and over during the game for saying this. I posted on the game thread here several times early on that bama's game plan was complete shite and they needed to start throwing some on first down or they would lose. Saban was a dumbass on Nov 5th and showed again he is not much of a in game coach.
