Having not read a single response and not trying to flame, I think your blind homerism is clouding your judgement.

I'm just curious why we have no choice but to cave to everyone's flames and trash talking regarding our program and coaches.

He took a 5-7 team and made them 8-5 with a drastically improved offense, something we hadn't had since 2005 or 2004.

He took that team, and put Cam Newton (once in a generation player) behind a team stocked with seniors and a great OL, and led us to an undefeated NC season.

We all know how many people we lost during the offseason, and we weren't expected to do shite this year. Predictions of 4-8 from opposing fans to a ceiling of 9-3 from our most homer fans were met with a 7-5 record where we lost only to teams with better records than us.

I don't see how going 7-5, when that was squarely within expectations coming off of our huge losses, should have brought out the flaming. Yes, expecting to be mediocre is much less painful than seeing it come to fruition, but I for one am completely committed to Chizik.

We've been called everything from a one-trick pony with Cam, to having our OC referred to as our HC because no one wants to give Chizik any credit. The same exact people then started trashing Malzahn when our offense blew arse this year.

Ted Roof was told to look for a new job, that much is clear. Everyone here knows how much we had grown tired of our shitty D under him, to call him leaving "jumping ship" just makes you look retarded.

Malzahn- yeah, he's gone. Suddenly we're supposed to be embarrassed because his destination isn't as sexy as everyone once thought it would be. How does that affect Auburn again? Please leave your conspiracy theories at the door.

If we make a couple solid coordinator hires that will bring some recruits with them, and let any players that don't want to be here go, then we're in good shape considering how well we've been recruiting.

ETA: tl;dr, I know. I only respond considering the entire theme of the SECRant has been how bad we suck, which I just don't see. Interpret my desire to argue against that how you will.

I don't care if you would rather Chizik, but basing it on the emotional whims of a few fickle fans is a weird way to make that call.

Oh, I'm not preferring Chizik because people didn't like Miles. I thought it was bizarre how much yall hated Miles.

I'm just bringing it up as a reality check for those of your fanbase in here piling on.
