I am not an insider, but it looks like quite a few Pac12 schools got/will get substantial coaching upgrades this year. SEC coaching changes over the last year or so are pretty suspect. So there are some big ifs here but:

(Reasonable assumptions) Assume that USC comes off probation and emerges as a top team and Oregon emerges relatively unscathed from NCAA investigations and continues to do well. Leach puts together a relatively successful team at WSU (he could win at Lubbock FFS)

(Bigger ifs) Stanford continues to do well after Luck leaves; Rich Rod works out well; UCLA gets a good coach and drops $$ into their program.

I could see if all that happened that PAC12 would be a stronger conference than an SEC given the collapse of the SECE (can Boom get it done at FL? Will Richt ever make the next step at UGA? Can Mullen be successful at Miss St? Will Auburn rebuild and rejoin the top tier schools with current coaches? Lots of questions in the SEC's future dominance IMO).
