Answering my own question I went with Filling out the Hoodie and doing lat pulldowns as warmups from super light to working sets every day he says lat stretches :D

I usually run Pump City if I want more volume/variety of exercises, and Silverback if I want more intensity. Then I rotate through Arm Farm/Big Bench/70s Big/Mass that lasts/Silverback depending on how much time/how much calories I have that month.

Does someone have a recommendation of a PPSA program that has a lot of pull-ups in it? My wife really wants to be able to do non-banded pull-ups, but is resistant to "just hit them a few times a day outside of the workouts" for some reason. I could sneak them in the warmups, but if he has a program that has a lot of pull-up/chinups in it then I can just point to the pdf so it's not my fault they are written down :D

I'm still behind and did ABC easy as 123 today. These triple supersets were gnarly (especially the last 2)
When my family and I were walking out of Lambeau I remember saying "We have to fire Les" but it was with the same tone you'd use when it was time to put an old pet down. No malice just sorta finality.

Through all the ups and downs of LSU, I've never stopped scheduling my fall weekends around their games. This year I have to fly to Salt Lake the day of the Bama day and I didn't book around it. That is a new level of apathy about LSU from me.

I’m also pissed off about this season, but Kelly took half a football team that went 6-7 and won the SECW his first year at LSU. Kiffin had a much better team than that last year, and got a worse result.

If Kelly can’t win at LSU, then it’s because that style of hard-arse “Process” based coaching doesn’t work in CFB in the NIL era. You need a different toolset to get kids who’ve been paid already to buy in and play hard. Incidentally, that’s why Saban failed in NFL, and probably why he retired from Bama
Careful what you wish for; LSU is way more likely to end up like Auburn or Florida than like Saban era Alabama.
We are a few days behind and hitting pressure cooker today. I got 15 sets of 2 at 315; pretty sure 315 was my first PR when I first ran squatober lol.
/aaron would say he already made squatober for old dudes, just not for weak old dudes prolly

My son that lifted with me moved out and the wife took his spot in the gym. This will be our second squatober. I have travel til Saturday late tho so going to plan on starting day 1 Sunday and maybe cut back on rest days or maybe just have to run 2-3 days behind the pack.
Just finished Summer Stacked today; I liked it a lot. Heavy doubles up to 375 on squats was pretty nice way to end a program. Not sure what I'm running next; may just raise maxes and re-run it again

Somebody needs to be looking at sports bets placed in Houston (who sat in info til last week) and Clemson (too lazy to look up the city where it’s located). Somebody pushed this to make a few bucks after lines were set imo

I have run big bench for Christmas a couple times, and find it funny how much more total pull work there is in it to go with the daily pressing. I don’t recall it having deadlifts but I could be misremembering.

My front squat form is kinda crappy and so I basically made my arm sore right above bicep with the bar. I said frick it and did Landmine squats yesterday and could go a lot heavier. That might have been a mistake lol. I do like this program so far tho (done with day 6)

Pump city has AMRAP bench/squats every other push/leg too so if you’re not recovering you just may not hit a PR that day.

As an aside, I’m working out with my wife now in a fairly small home gym, and so I usually find myself doing some of the accessory superset/cardio first while she does the barbell lift and then we switch. It’s easier than having to unrack between every set, but sometimes it means I bench or squat at the end of the workout. I like how warmed up I am, but keeping intensity can be a challenge if you’re benching 45-60 min into a push day

I run Pump City a lot. It has a lot of AMRAP days for bench and squats, a gnarly Bulgarian split squat/reverse lunge superset, and some shoulders like boulders days.

I’ve run pump city a bunch of times and am just starting Summer Stacked. This seems like lower volume and higher %s; maybe 15 mins shorter per day and a lot of emphasis on front squats. I am just a couple days in and it feels like it’s a lot more taxing on my CNS than most of pump city; I could run that program and still feel fine to go ride the elliptical or shoot basketball or go for a bike ride a bit after but I’m pretty tired out after this.

Also there is way less biceps work on pull day than pump city.


If you aren’t totally set on PPL, also consider 70s big. It has some tough strength training but a lot of accessory stuff too
