Well, only the rantards full of fear are worried about Bama.

The team and true fans are embracing their chance at glory.

Think about it......who else have you played with a better defense than ours? Bama and that's it and look how close that game was.

You are correct, however, UGA's defense is nowhere near the same level as Alabama. Also, ya'll havent faced a defense nearly as tough as ours either.

Stats don't lie. And before you pull out the "Yall haven't played anybody" card, look at who Bama has played.

I'm not mad. You mad?

10-2 IMO was the goal this year. Didn't like to see how the Cracky game played out, but hey, that's part of being a really young team.

Boise was on Richt, Bobo and S&C, and again, sucked donkey dick, but it was evident that Georgia had no chance based upon experience (or lack of).

I expect the Dawgs to do us proud, and make it a fairly entertaining game. Anything else is very welcomed icing on the cake.

Now, as for 2012..........

Don't look at who bama has played, look who we have played, and beat....everybody.

Dawgs have no chance in the game, the talent lever difference is huge, we are just flat out a better team.

As far as your stats go, you may statistically have a better run defense, but which one would you really want?

Tigers win this one by 20, and it won't even be that close, mercy knee with 6 minutes on the 2 yeard line.

I've been hearing this all year Good luck Dawgs, you will need it. Might as well start getting mentally prepared for the asswhooping you are about to receive

I think LSU will win, but wouldn't be surprised if Georgia upset them, especially if the team has anything near the mindset all the fans seem to have on this site. All I see is banter about the national championship game. It's not going to be as easy as everyone thinks in the Georgia Dome, so the "madness" can be an advantage for the Bulldogs.

Pretty happy considering the last two abortion seasons we had under Richt. However, I still don't think I'll ever be able to see the crystal football at my local Wal-Mart while he's still head coach.

But your play on the field doesn't lie either. Your team struggled with Kentucky (LSU beat them 35-7), Vanderbilt, Tennessee (LSU beat them 38-7), Florida (LSU beat them 41-11), Ole Miss (LSU beat them 52-3), and lost to the only two competitive teams you faced, South Carolina and Boise State.

Georgia won the SEC East for one reason -- they didn't have to face any of the big three teams from the West; had they played any of those teams, they'd be sitting at home this weekend watching South Carolina get demolished by LSU.

And your defense? You allowed 240 rushing yards against a mediocre Georgia Tech team. Your team allows nearly 18 points a game (LSU gives up 10, including only 8 pts per game in SEC play). Georgia has turned the ball over a total of 19 times, while creating 29 turnovers. LSU has turned the ball over 8 times in 12 games. Georgia has allowed 25 sacks, LSU only 11.

You are right, stats don't lie...they add up to an LSU rout of Georgia, just like LSU has done to every team they faced this year outside of Alabama.

Most Dawg fans are pretty happy right now. Most of us were predicting an 8-4 type season with the youth of this team. I'm sure the players are feeling disrespected, but, they're supposed to. LSU's the best team in the nation, no doubt. Unbeatable? We'll see.

Bama gave up 300 yards rushing to Georgia Southern and their D held LSU in check. But keep looking at how a defense holds up against a triple option offense as the barometer to judge how they perform against a more traditional offense.

If Tyson is healthy and ready to go 100% against y'all, I think our defense has the ability to stop the run up the middle. UGA is two deep across the D-line so it will be harder for LSU to wear them down by pounding the ball like they've done against every team that they blew out. All of this goes out the window, however, if UGA continuously goes 3 and out on offense and doesn't give the defense any time to rest. I'll freely admit that this is entirely possible because the athleticism of your D-line will shut down the Georgia O if they come out in some of Bobo's spread sets.

How mad are TN players and fans right now, being considered a joke in college football, who lost to KY for the first time in nearly 30 years?

Alabama and UGA aren't close when it comes to defense my friend.....UGA hasn't played a defense even somewhat close to LSU.....we will make the freshman RB quit and Murray might just implode on himself.

but I promise you whoever wins it WILL be close.

Again, UGA will quit.

why would we be mad? we're in the SECCG a year after going 6-7. Our entire team is made up of underclassmen who will hopefully sustain this kind of play for 2-3 more years.

Tennessee should be mad with the colossal cluster that is going on up there now.

Might work in their favor if the LSU team were as smug and arrogant as its fans. However, I doubt that will be the case as I am positive they are not overlooking UGA.

From a losing 2010 season, to 0-2, then 10-0, I think shows some maturity for these young players.

Looking forward to slapping UT around again for the next several years.

DoubleDawg,

Which team with a decent offense has Georgia stopped this year?

Which team with a decent defense has Georgia whipped this year?

LSU had 148 rushing yds against Bama; when LSU played that "triple option offense" in the Chick-Fil-A bowl in 2008 (with the crappiest LSU defense of the decade), Tech managed 164. So if you want to keep making excuses for your undisciplined defense, go ahead.

Georgia played 2 decent teams all year and lost to both of them. Arkansas' offense, which is better than UGA's, managed 10 pts against LSU, with 47 rushing yards and only 200 yds passing. Arkansas' defense, which is better than UGA's, allowed 34 pts and nearly 300 rushing yards.

I'm sorry, buddy, but you can keep telling yourself that UGA has some weird advantage over LSU by comparing opponents, but LSU has stomped teams with better offenses than UGA (see West Virginia and Oregon), and UGA has struggled against teams with crappy offenses and defenses (see Vandy, Kentucky and Tennessee). Face it -- if your team had played a halfway decent schedule this year you'd be looking for a new coach after another mediocre season. The schedule allowed you to get to Atlanta, and with any luck, you'll get a nice bowl game to play in as a consolation. Just don't shite the bed against another ranked team.

+1

Tennessee has no room to talk about anything this year. Your team and coach are both an embarrassment to the SEC.
