Well, you better be a pretty god damn good shot and have nothing in the way, like innocent bystanders for instance. Plus they pack about 10 people in those Westboro vans, to where you're more likely to kill more of them than with the Sniper Riffle since they'll be taking cover long before you can kill 10 of them.
Also you're only a mile away where someone will likely report gunshots, and then they'll eventually know exactly where you were when you shot them. With a car bomb you could be 300 miles away by the time it goes off.

Anywho....Imagine the psychological damage that would be done to the lucky souls that didn't take the bullet first...

well you just solidified a plan...couple of shooters off the highway, simultaneous shots to either side of van, fiddy cal thru the van's front out the back take minimum 6, van wrecks kills the rest
