we lost the 1st game in season play & lsu has to play in the sec champ game .so that gives lsu all rights to bring home a NC 4 the SEC. Im a Bama fan & we lost so now we can only support the SEC .

It is LSU's year. I hope they win out and skull frick whatever opponent they face in the championship game. On the other hand, I hope we win out and skull frick somebody like Boise State. That would be a nice consolation prize.

I am definitely rooting for all of the above including Bama destroying the weak arse shite that Boise brings to the Sugar Bowl...

I would like to play bama again. I think the players do as well. I think it would bring a great respect for each other as opponents.
However, if we lose it would suck bad. We could both be 11-1 but you get the NC, even though we are 1-1

That's why I'm opposed to a rematch. Only way I would support 'Bama getting to the MNC is if we backed our way in somehow and played someone OOC.

No on the rematch. While I like the idea of "locking up" the title to come back the SEC for sure with an LSU-Bama rematch, I would rather "risk" it and beat the snot out of Stanford or Okie Lite. It's better to watch an SEC team beat up on an OOC team for all the marbles.
The fact that Bama, with the loss, is still in discussions to be considered for the MNC 1 day after that loss is truly telling about how much the pollsters and media respect these two teams.
No disrespect to Bama at all, but them making it to the Title game would irritate me when we beat them head-to-head on their field, and then have to play in the SECCG for our berth. Talk about rewarding the lower seed.

If ESPN wants it, it will happen. They have entirely too much power in CFB.

I'm not about to sit here and lobby for a rematch, but that game could've fallen either way.
I'm not convinced LSU is better whatsoever, but they did win the game so they obviously get the chance to play over Bama.

LSU is not better. They are as evenly matched as can be. Whether it was good luck, timely plays, better special teams or all of the above, LSU came out ahead. They don't play series in football, so LSU won the one game the teams should have to play considering the teams are in the same division. Playing Bama again in the NC game means the SEC Champion would be required to beat a team in its own division for the second time to win the NC. If Bama wins, it is a non-conference champion NC winner having beat its conference champion to even the season series at 1-1. This is not college basketball, that outcome is illogical.
