I knew the UT/Bama game was a rival, but after moving here last year, I get why the two states almost hate each other. Maybe not on the intensity of the Tosu/mich rival, but it is pretty fricking close.

I can't tell you the overwhelming joy I felt when we handed their arse to them in 2007. Also, I was there in 2008 when we took over Neyland. People who I had never met before in my life were high fiving and hugging me left and right. Everyone was yelling "roll tide". It was incredible.

I don't think many LSU fans truly appreciate just how much animosity exists between Tennessee and Alabama.

Bama-LSU is a competitive rivalry. If either team wants to make it to Atlanta, they need to go through the other.

Bama-UTk is on a personal level. The kind of rivalry where even if you have a shitty season, winning that one game can take a lot of the sting out of it.
