LSU @ Alabama in 93 has to be one of the most unlikely in conference upsets. Alabama was riding a long unbeaten streak, maybe Alabama fans can tell us the exact number. Obviously they were undefeated in 92 and had only tied Tennessee in 93 at the time of this game.
LSU was coming of a home win over Ole Miss, but was only 3-5 and had lost at home to Florida 58-3 earlier in the season. They would eventually lose the final game of the regular season to Arkansas to miss playing in a bowl game. Arkansas had 3 backs run for over 100 yards. It was LSU's 5th consecutive losing season.
The line on the game was near 30, if not a few more.
