Im gonna have to disagree about the women. I work on Campus now and every single day I have to remind myself Im married. You cant have 50K students and ~half being Texas girls without a gigantic number of hotties. Sure, there are some ugly ones, but I've seen some of the not so great talent at SEC schools, and DAMN.
As for A&M being southern...well you have to remember this is Texas.
Far east Texas is definitely southern. West Texas and the panhandle is cowboy country. Central Texas is a melting pot and south Texas is Mexico (and good hunting).
A&M lies at the boundary of central and east Texas. Its a blend of farm boys, city boys (Houston, Austin, Dallas), suburbanites, etc.
I dont really consider places like UT, Arkansas, UF, UK to be deep south, they are a different breed of southern, same with A&M.
You guys debate about whether A&M fits or not, but as an Aggie, I can tell you we fit in a lot better in the SEC than in the big12. Places like Manhattan, Aimes, and Lawrence make me want to puke.

I don't know much about the individual schools in the SEC, but I am aware that the level of talent strutting around an SEC sorority is the thing of legend. Doesn't surprise me a bit, really, considering that most of them are southern woman.
