Probably the best explanation I've seen. Engineering and other technical fields have always been Auburn's strength academically and those students tend to have slightly higher ACT scores than the average applicant.

I think Auburn's close proximity to metro Atlanta is a HUGE plus and they've done an excellent job of recruiting in that area and Georgia in general even to the point of being the 2nd most popular choice in the area after UGA. The HOPE scholarship has in a weird way help Auburn more than any other non Georgia school IMHO.
