Why does UGA in-state recruiting suck so bad this year? Only 2 of the the top 30 (according to Rivals) in the state are committed to UGA at this time. And 14 of those 30 are committed elsewhere. What's up with that?

It's early. It is never over until National Signing day.

Because the in state crop this year is pretty low by most standards. 2013 is a better year according to some.

Then why are ya'll getting the lower tier players (outside of Jonathan Taylor) of a "low" class?

The state is so deep, they almost always lose some, just like Florida. So many athletes, limited spots.

By the way, Eric Berry, Da'Rick Rogers, Jamal Lewis, Ju'waun James... etc

All look/looked good in orange!

First of all, we were expecting to take a very small class this year, like 15 people, so we were extremely selective in offering scholarships. Due to some deflections we can take more, but obviously we're now behind the 8 ball with some guys. That's not us being dumb or dropping the ball, that's just the way things worked out.

Also, in a talent rich state like Georgia, we're never going to get 80/90% of the top guys. It's just not possible with FSU, UF, clemson, sc, bama, auburn, and ut right next door. With all that said though, Richt has signed a top 10 class every year he's been here except for 1 (2 years ago), and last year signed the #4 class in the country even AFTER we had a losing record. We must be doing something right.

Considering we are going after the top 10 talents of Florida, NC, and SC, and taking a good number of JUCO kids this year, IDGAF

Richt Recruiting = Tits
Richt Coaching = Side boob
Bobo Coaching = Grundle

Are you kidding road? I stalked you for days, asking for a link to the pick! Check the Humphries thread!

It looks like I'm begging for a new avi in those threads.

Sounds like 2013 isnt going any better. No 1+2 probably headed to Bama, and a top 10 kid committed to Auburn.

I didn't realize it was March of 2012 and Signing Day had already come and gone. You realize at this time last year that Ray Drew, Isaiah Crowell, Malcolm Mitchell, Jay Rome, and many other of our big namers hadn't committed yet right?

Look at UGA recruits for 2013 and 2014 as of now (obviously could change). We are doing just fine.

I actually forgot about it.

You can (looking for the word that means run away from a bet) squelch if you want.

I'm traveling so I can't search for it on the work computer anyway.

Except Foster is already committed, and everyone and their mother thinks Nkemdiche is headed that way too. Its not like Mitchell where both sides felt confident.

Recruiting isn't Richt's problem its the coaching up of these top players he has trouble with.
