Speaking of crawfish, the country's oldest crawfish festival is this weekend in Tualatin, Oregon. I went in 2003 and got 3 cold unseasoned crawfish for $1. Dude. Haven't been back since. We do our alumni boil in Tualatin just to show them the right way.

When I went for a visit to check the city out I noticed a place called "Jakes" apparently it is famuos for crawdads. I asked a chef friend of mine that works at Cafe Zues if it were worth it. He is a native northwesterner but lived in Memphis for 5 years. His exact words were " Not to you it won't be." He did tell me Oregon is only behind Louisiana in crawfish farms and producing.

I'll ask my Arky colleague if there's any secret Arky alumni group around here.

That would be awesome. Thanks a lot. If not, I'll be hanging out with yall watching some football most likely. I can't see myself watching Pac 12 football.

I'm a chef btw. I'll be working like a dog for the most part but time off this fall will be watching SEC football. Thanks for the help.

Cool. What restaurant will you be working at?

There's a food good Cajun/Creole themed places (good for Portland, that is). Check out Acadia, Tapalaya and EaT! An Oyster Bar. We have several Popeyes locations and you can find Abita Amber, Turbo Dog and Purple Haze at places like Belmont Station and John's Marketplace.

This is a great town for food and drink but we could use a lot more Southern chefs.

A couple of years back (don't know about now)Boise St had the best 10-year winning percentage in college football. At the same time they had a losing record against BCS conference teams. I think that says all that needs to be said about Boise's scheduling, and their team in general.

Ok, Im just ganna guess what this thread had been about.

Boise: We are blue and cool and could beat Vandy

SEC: You give smurfs a bad name. They even have more history and fans than your baby conference winning team.

Boise: Yea but we have the most wins out of any team here recently

Random Arky Poster: The last time we played yall we demolished you and you ended up going 11-1 regular season with us being your only loss(This being under the Nutt years)

Boise: Thats in the past and doesnt reflect how good we really are. And the SEC are Aholes.

Sound about right?
