I haven't been to practice yet but I think I'm going to go today. From reading practice reports thought, it seems like Nix is experimenting with having Swag Mathews as a hybrid LB/SS in a 4-2-5 look. This would allow Mathews, Jackson and Garbutt all on the field as safety at the same time. I'm guessing at that point Sawyer and Temple would be the starting corners and maybe Golson and Brassell pushing Temple by mid season and playing Nickle and Dime backs. That would be fine with me if was the case.

It does seem like it....but Nutt has stated that we're staying with the 4-3. I figure that's probably bullshite just to throw BYU for a loop in preparations....

I'd like to see us go 4-3 against traditional offenses but throw in the 4-2-5 against spread-option teams......especially with the physicality of Mathews and D. Jackson.
