I think they ruled the shoulder hit first. I don't know how in regular speed though.

Jimmy Johns Knocked out for BAMA
I remember this story! Jimmy Johns had committed to MSU. Mr. Mississippi in football. On signing day, he went to Bama. Before the game he dogged out Croom to the Media and got knocked out.
The announcers said that Johns was out and when he came to wanted back on the field but they "hid his helmet"..
