loganlowery: Just spoke with RB signee Josh Robinson who told me he finishes up summer school on Aug. 3, expects to be at MSU this fall.
He runs a 4.4 40 and weighs 220 pounds, averaged 11.4 YPC his senior year with 20 TDs and 1,100 yards.
IMO, he will end up being the best player from Mullen's 2011 class and will be all-SEC in the futre. With Jeremy Hill's situation I would have liked to see the Tigers offer him but alas he is a Dawg.

If that's legit then he is going to absolutely be a beast in Mullen's offense.
That's exactly the type of RB that Petrino looks for in our offense. Guys that are fast and are bulky enough to absolutely punish the defense in the 4th quarter when they are tired.

why? We got the better RB from that team

Damn that 4th run is ridiculous. Plus that he has been running in an offense that's run game seems somewhat similar to the attack that MSU has currently.

Not sure about that. I like Hilliard better than both, though.

I'm not that impressed. He dances around in the backfield too much. that does not work in college. Look how many times he starts back peddling.

In a year it will likely be Dak Prescott handing off to Robinson from the spread. Bundy is going to have to deal with an all Louisiana backfield.

he's only a junior. You can't teach vision, speed, and size. He's got all three. TM is just a speedster.

I'm positive about that. We have LOTS of RB depth, and Magee Will still play this year. That's how good he is.

I would attribute that to his line getting absolutely blown up on some of those plays. He dances around for sure now but he will be taught to run forward first and juke as needed once he is on campus. He obviously has good enough vision to see the holes when he is backpedaling. He just need to learn to keep moving forward at all times.

Blue played last year with at least two NFL RBs ahead of him. He isn't special. TM is a good back but I don't think he'll be elite like Kenny and Robinson will be.

Franklinton's offensive line is garbage. I've watched two-three of their games over the past few years and Macgee and Robinson were usually running for their lives.

Definitely looks like it. Some of those runs open up nicely but a lot of them he is just staring the DL in the face as soon as he touches the ball.
What classification does he play in?

4A in Louisiana which is as tough as the highest classification in other southern states.

Blue got 2nd string reps till he was injured. He was ahead of Ware, Ford, Murphy, and Gore last year. His injury is the only thing that slowed him down and allowed Ware to catch up.
To get reps at RB at a place like LSU isn't a given by any means, but to get 2nd string reps as a true freshman and it not being for mop up duty, speaks volumes to a player's talent. Do not try to downgrade that.
Magee and Randle are the two most underrated recruits in our 2011 class.

Nothing in that Robinson video has me convinced he is an every down back. Very few broken tackles, mostly danced around, he ran backwards several times. That will not work in the SEC, and I stand by that.

I'm not saying he sucks but Blue isn't in the same league as Ware or Ford. Not even close.

Randle and OBJ, IMO

literally every high school back that is a man among boys does that. the RB coach has to break habits and I think Frank can do that.
