Watching Major League All Star game and reminded of Bo Jackson being the MVP in the 1989 All Star game. What a sick player and still one of my all time favorite players in football.....amazing athlete and freakish player....
From a Tiger to a Tiger, Bo was phenomenal....

Despite the hype, Bo Jackson's wasn't that good of a baseball player. He was mediocre defensively, struck out four times as many times as he walked, had a career batting average of .250 and career OBP of .309. He's one of the few players who chose baseball over football that made a mistake. Bo would have gone down as one of the five greatest RBs to ever play the game if he had stuck with the NFL from day one. He wouldn't have gone down as a top 500 all-time baseball player even if he had stuck with the sport full-time and his hip hadn't given out on him.

You are including 4 incomplete seasons of baseball that were post hip injury. The guy played two sports and prior to the injury he never had the time to concentrate solely on baseball. Bo would more than likely have been an all star year in and year out if he only played baseball. The guy is that good of an athlete.

Give me the name of one perennial all-star who was below average defensively and struck out four times as often as he walked.

saying what bo could of done if he stuck to one sport is like saying what TCU could of done if they played in a NC game. Its just something we will never know.
