Tuscaloosa was the first place in the South it was shipped to. A daughter of one of the brewery owners attended Alabama, allowing it to get shipped south. It's pretty popular around Tuscaloosa still, or was when I was in school.

Negative...brewed in Pottsville, PA (and more recently also in Tampa, FL). Was just in Pottsville this past weekend and I must say damn, it's cheap up there.
