Reasons why LSU will WIN the BCSNC game this year.

1) They have a good team
2) The game is in New Orleans (Home of LSU's previous 2 BCS NC)

LSU could lose 2 games and still make it to the BCSCG, but they will need some help.

Sat, Sep 03 Oregon at Arlington, Texas (Cowboys Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
I think this is a 50/50 game, Oregon could win it if LSU stumbles, but I think that defensively LSU has more depth, and should win for that reason. Oregon can win if it scores early and often, because I don't see LSU lighting up the scoreboard offensively.

Sat, Sep 10 Northwestern St. Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
Easy win for LSU.

Miss St. * at Starkville, Miss. (Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field) 7:00 p.m.
Could be trouble here. MSU is much improved, but LSU should win.

Sat, Sep 24 West Virginia at Morgantown, W.Va. (Milan Puskar Stadium) TBA
Looks great on the schedule, but LSU should win easy. WVU is in a state of flux.

Sat, Oct 01 Kentucky * Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
Easy win for LSU.

Gold Game
Sat, Oct 08 Florida * Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
Another game that looks great on the schedule, but LSU should win fairly easily. UF is still rebuilding.

Sat, Oct 15 Tennessee * at Knoxville, Tenn. (Neyland Stadium) TBA
LSU won't want anything like last years sleepwalk game in Baton Rouge, so UT will get battered.

Sat, Oct 22 Auburn * Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
Easy pickins here. Auburn's cupboard is bare, and LSU will win.

Sat, Nov 05 Alabama * at Tuscaloosa, Ala. (Bryant-Denny Stadium) TBA
I see this as a potential loss for LSU, but a lot of it depends on the QB play. AJ Mac has as much to prove as JJ, but Bama's D is as stout as LSU's and their running game is better.
Chalk this up as a loss for the Tigers.

Sat, Nov 12 Western Kentucky Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
Unless Kige Ramsey pulls some sort of Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan stunt, LSU wins in a yawner.

Sat, Nov 19 Ole Miss * at Oxford, Miss. (Vaught-Hemingway Stadium) TBA
Another easy win for LSU. Nutt hasn't got much to work with right now. Even if he did he'd giggity at the wrong time and lose the game.

Fri, Nov 25 Arkansas *
This is a 50/50 game. Arkansas seems to have LSU's number just lately.

I believe LSU will go 10-2, with losses at Bama and 1 of either Oregon/MSU/Arky. If LSU can beat Bama and avoid an upset in the other 3 games, then they would be the BCS Champs IMHO, as few teams could beat them in New Orleans in January.
Even at 10-2, with some luck, LSU has proven it can be the BCS Champ in New Orleans.

Jefferson will be a MUCH better QB this year under Kragthorpe.

Doesn't mean he'll be a GREAT quarterback, just much better.

And with LSU's run game combined with a great defense, a much improved QB will take LSU a long, long way.

That being said... GO DUCKS!

Actually LSU has won ALL 3 of their NCs in New Orleans.
