I think you misread what I typed (or I just wasn't very clear). I said states like Florida, Louisiana, etc allow their residents to carry their loaded guns inside of their vehicles without possessing any type of a CCP. If I didn't have a concealed permit here in Florida, I could still carry my loaded pistol around with me inside my truck everywhere I go. It was stated above that that's illegal in Alabama, that's why I was surprised to hear that, especially since yall allow open carry (without a permit).

ahhh.. I did misread. I thought you meant no permit at all. I am surprised that in your vehicle is allowed and not covered under a CCP though. Personally, if you can purchase one legally, I don't feel you should have to purchase a permit to carry it in any manner you choose to. As far as where, I can understand limitations.
