It's not because he isn't the most badass QB on earth
Besides a public intoxication charge in 2009 at Arkansas, Mallett was rumored to have used drugs in college. Two personnel executives with teams looking for a quarterback said that in predraft interviews Mallett admitted to only using marijuana.
“We didn’t believe him,’’ one of the executives said. The other hinted as much.
“Things just aren’t right with him,’’ one NFL executive said. “Has the drugs and alcohol stuff. He can be a hothead. Carries himself like the 6-7 Eminem. He’s just a different dude. Maybe they can keep him in check. They can take that risk. We can’t.’’

Cam's a lot smarter than Mallett. He just comes across much better even if it isn't genuine at all.

Say what you may about Mallett, but he just landed a job that will pay him in one year what will take me 10 or more years of hard work to make.

"Cam" and "smart" in the same sentence.....
Ryan has a lot to prove and he knows it... I think he'll be fine.

Kind of an odd statement/thought if you think about it... not that GD sure I would want to play for that type of man, either.

its a very interesting comment. i thought the ssme thing, only i percieve eminem as a white guy that is highly successful and well respected among his peers in an industry that is majority african american. but the respect is the result of the success and the guy's skills, it has very little to do with attitude.
im a believer in mallet, ever since michigan. and i dont think teams should give a frick if he smoked some weed in college. i bet the gm or whoever is making the pic smoked in college too.

I'm probably a bigger stoner than most around here, but I have smoked with NUMEROUS 1st round draft picks. Believe me, or don't. I don't give a frick.
Anyway, from where I stand, I believe the vast majority of D1 football players (edit: college kids) smoke weed.
Mallett probably did a little nose candy here and there or maybe some X before him and DJ got in the shower.
I don't know.
