The one thing most people can agree on is its not Gilmore.

Unfortunately, I am most people. Gilmore has all the physical tools, but until he -- and the rest of our DB's -- quit biting on play action, learn to cover man to man, quit giving a 10-yard cushion, and figure out what coverage they're supposed to be in -- he is far from the best.

I am optimistic that Ellis Johnson can get it straight for this season, but no doubt last year we were the worst coached and most confused seconday in the SEC. If we suck again, Coach Ward (secondary coach) needs to be replaced.

10 yard cushions and zone reads are part of the EJ defense, they just didn't execute. I think Gilmore did outstanding, considering he only let a few get by him the whole season. His VERY few mistakes happened to be big bust plays. I still think he's one of the best in the Conference.
