Press conference open to the public, and I would not be surprised if Bud Walton is packed to the rafters.

Welcome Home Mike, welcome home.

This video needs its own thread.

King, there will probably be a lot of tears shed. Not a bad thing.

From what I have heard, Corliss, Scotty, May-Day, Bradley, Richardson, Sutton, Klein, Brewer, Brewer Jr., will all be in attendance. This is why a time has not been released as of yet.

With this hire, I feel Arkansas leaps back to the top of the SEC West pecking order in basketball.

Anderson is just a plain out-and-out excellent basketball coach as well as recruiter.

I don't know if I would call him a 'great' recruiter. But he's more than capable.

Yes it is, if you want to have a guy who can't coach. Having watched Missouri these past few years he sucks. He runs a "system" that depends on the other team being poorly coached and not being able to handle full court pressure. His 40 min of hell is actually 40 min of watching the other team shoot layups. His half-court defense is abysmal. Only his half-court offense is worse. To give that coach that kind of money is criminal. Good luck.

A lot of excitement for a coach that didn't do too much at Mizzou......

201-98 as a head coach in 9 years
2 Sweet 16's
1 Elite 8
1-30 win season
6-22 or more win seasons
Never a losing season
2 conference championships
1 National Coach of the Year Honor

This is why LSU will continue to have coaches of Trent Johnson's caliber.

He was 1-9 vs Kansas over 5 years. Had he not beaten a lowly Texas-Tech in the Big 12 tourney, he would not have even made the NCAA this year. Closely check MU's last six games this year. If there was a more pooly coached team at the end of the season I would like to see who it was. Had he not barely won the TT game he would have been begging MU to keep his job. To make him the 7th highest paid coach in the nation is a joke and laughable.

Well, sorry for not drinking the entire pitcher of koolaid, but I'll wait until he beats Billy Donovan and John Calipari a few times before I place him on the SEC summit, mmmK?

Pelphrey beat those guys. They're not the pinnacle of SEC basketball.

Anderson is 1-1 against Kentucky. His win was against #1 seed UK in the NCAA Tourney while at UAB.

btw, It is not that we are arrogant, but we do not hang our hats on division titles around here in basketball. We do not have banners that read "division champions" hanging in Bud Walton.

Not a slight towards you, but we want big picture again. Anderson loves this program and knows what it takes to win here. He is the best man for this job and we are excited that someone wants this job, as much as we want him for the job.

All one had to do was watch his "coaching" vs Bill Self of Kansas. Yes, KU is more talented but he was so far out-classed by Self it makes it absurd to think that he is some sort of elite coach, deserving of over 2 mil a year. Hell, he was outcoached by almost every Big 12 coach, not exactly a mecca of great coaches. He was 1-7 on the road this past season vs Big 12 teams. His performance this year was pathetic and embarassing.

He also had one of the youngest, inexperienced teams in the Big 12 this year bra.

Keep up...
