re: LSU and Bama fans... a classic (for Tiger fans anyway)

I agree with this. LSU did field some great teams. The SEC teams of that day measured their success against the Bear. That 1982 game seems like it was yesterday to me. I was thirteen years old and thought to myself, "This is the greatest thing ever! We beat the Bear!"

On an added note, The first big defensive hit you see was by Rydell Melancon. He went to my high school. A local star for me.

Wow a very knowledgeable SEC fan. Thanks man, and yeah it would have been great but ya'll did have the greatest coach in ever in college football then. Kinda hard to get over the hump going against him.
