You arn't considered 'down' if it is your normal place in the east.

Georgia and Tennessee haven't always won the East. Maybe they are in their "normal place".
Things do change in college football, you know this right?
30 years ago Oregon wasn't doing shite on the national level. They played for a National Title this year.
