But why are parents required to oversee the signing of the LOI? Even if they are 18?

Crazy parents out there is all I'm saying.

If they are under 21, a parent must co-sign.

It's 21. I'm positive about that. Had this discussion on several Alabama boards, and how the age requirement needs to be updated.

In other words, you can go get yourself blown up in Iraq son but if you think we're going to let you play football at one school when daddy wants you to play at another then we have problems.

Think about this in the context of Jeremy Hill. The "kid" is effectively being charged with a statutory rape crime but he still needs mommy to sign his LOI.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

Hopefully, today's shenanigans will encourage them to change the rules.
