I think he used his alma mater to get an extension and nothing more. He was never serious about going back there and strung them along to get more from LSU. Michigan should never deal with him again imo.

You certainly are entitled to your opinion, but I don't think it was that simple for him. I think he felt that since Michigan was a place that he long had looked at as his "dream job" he should look at it. I don't blame him a a bit. I think he certainly was inclined to stay at LSU throughout, but it wasn't open and shut. As he said, it wasn't really about the money (he certainly is getting plenty of that), but about stability. If he never coached a game again, he would be a wealthy man. But I do think he wanted to know that he wasn't going to be looking over his shoulder at every bump in the road. LSU was willing to give him that. In my view he has earned it. I don't get the impression from watching him or Aleva that Miles has tried to play a lot of games with LSU. It isn't his style or character.
