I don't know,but I noticed that too.
LSU had the same problem in the cotton bowl, maybe they have the wrong shoes/spikes.

They put the thing in a week ago after the Fiesta Bowl. Glendale and Houston are getting cute, thinking because they have a nice climate and retractable roof , they can still grow grass properly. They should just install Fieldturf or whatever.
