Tennessee’s Tobias Harris was named SEC Freshman of the Week after scoring a game-high 21 points—surpassing the 20-point mark for the first time in his career—while also leading the team in steals with three. In addition to shooting .600 from the field, and .778 percent from the foul line, Harris also was a perfect 2-for-2 from 3-point range against the Blue Raiders. His six rebounds were second-most among all Vols, and he also dished out a season-high three assists and added a blocked shot. There have been four freshman of the week honors awarded.
Tobias Harris has 2 and Terrance Jones has 2.
Can't wait till we get to see these guys go head to head.

Oddly enough. 3 of the 4 players of the week honors have gone to Vandy men.
Brad Tinsley, John Jenkins, and Festus Ezeli.
So far, Scotty Hopson is the only non - dore to get it this year.

Georgia v Georgia Tech this evening on ESPN 2.
Tech is favored by 4.
They've already lost 3 games this season. Kennessaw, Syracuse, and Northwestern.
UGA has lost two to Notre Dame and Temple
Trey Thompkins is still out with an ankle injury.
Should be a good game. I'd like to see UGA pull this one out.

Don't know where you heard that, but Trey has been playing for about the last 3 games now.

Really?? I pulled that off my score mobile app for the Black Berry. Says he is out for the game with an ankle injury.
Wouldn't be the first time the app was wrong.

Unless he hurt it this morning he's playing, and I think I would've heard about it if he had. He's playing (that I know of).

I think KU wins by double figures.
Memphis is too young to compete in this one. There is no question they are talented.
But losing Jelan Kendrick hurts, and a few of their players appear to have been overrated by recruiting services.
Namely Will Barton.

ESPN tidbits from today.

"The first item of business? Florida. The Gators seem to have more coaches' poll staying power than anyone not named "North Carolina," and even the Tar Heels were finally banished from the top 25 two weeks ago. At No. 24, what did Florida do to edge out teams like Arizona, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin and even No. 25 Texas? A Sunday win over American must have impressed the country's voting coaches, because an impotent defeat to UCF on Wednesday would have seemingly been enough to bump the two-loss Gators out of top-25 contention to start the season. Maybe fellow coaches really like Billy Donovan. Maybe they're still buying the five-starters-returning hype. Either way, Florida seems a little out of place here."
"I'd like someone to explain this: Tennessee is undefeated with a win over Villanova on a neutral court. Villanova is a one-loss team, and that loss was to -- reading comprehension test here -- Tennessee. And yet Tennessee (No. 13) is still somehow ranked behind Villanova (No. 12) in this week's poll. Is anyone else confused? This can't just be me, right?"

Jackson is legit though

Arkansas vs Seton Hall tomorrow on ESPN2 might be a good one. You wanna see a very improved player, than look for Delvon Johnson. He was flat out horrible last season, but this year he is a monster.
Posted on 12/7/10 at 2:55 pm to mmjones87
Yah Joe Jackson is really good. But a lot of their pre-season hype had to do with Jelan Kendrick, booted from team. And even more so Will Barton, national columnists were saying he's 1 and done lottery pick guy. He's clearly not THAT good.
Their three best freshman are all from Memphis. Tarik Black, Chris Crawford, and Joe Jackson.
Can't wait to see Chris Jones from Melrose suit up for Tennessee. He outplayed Joe Jackson everytime White Station and Melrose faced off.

6. Auburn
Is there a legitimate chance that Auburn could go 0-16 in the league?

For sure, the West is bad enough though that I think they'll be able to snag a win.

Yes, unless one of our three decent players are healthy by then, which is also doubtul.

LSU came close last year, but scratched out a few near the end of the season. No team has gone winless in a looooong time.
