The NCAA has given no indication, or statement concerning his eligibility. But nice repeating of the Au party line.

AU fans, y'all could really learn something from the bylaw blog's writeup of how LSU handled the Aikem Hicks situation. A few quotes for you...

quote:

Second, Alleva either decided or supported the decision to withhold the student-athlete based solely on the inconsistencies in the story. It was not until later that the compliance office discovered the story was false. Too often compliance is burdened with having to show proof of a violation, not just suspicion.

quote:

Either way, excellent work by LSU’s athletics administration and outside counsel. While the violation was not prevented, a combination of trusting your gut, accepting the relationship between “smoke” and “fire”, and detailed investigation brought the violations to light very quickly and prevented ineligible competition by the student-athlete. Well done, LSU.

quote:

LSU’s 55-page violation report is a model of thorough investigation, due diligence, and a conservative attitude toward student-athlete eligibility.

Now contrast that with your mindset going into this. The boosters in control of your university have been found guilty of major violations in the past and those exact same ones are scream GFY to the NCAA. I wouldn't be defending that approach. No sweat off my brow if I am wrong. You're dead if you are.
