(Story Ran 1 Hour Ago) An NCAA investigation of academic fraud allegations and possible NCAA rules violations involving Auburn quarterback Cam Newton could have long-term ramifications for the Tigers program.
It also could have financial implications for Auburn coach Gene Chizik, according to a USA TODAY examination of his contract.

Sounds like he should have read up on thr Lowder/Dye history with the program. Also seems that they had the fall guy all picked out.

Sounds like AU knew all about Cam before they even hired GC.

(3rd link) --- Auburn is "all in" all right. All in for themselves. The NCAA rule isn't that opaque when it comes to solicitation. They've said it often this past week that "the solicitation of cash or benefits by a prospective student-athlete or another individual on his or her behalf is not allowed under NCAA rules." So, sadly for college football, and for Cam Newton, even if you take Cecil's word that he was oblivious to the matter, Newton should be declared ineligible, a decision that haunts college football at its core.

Chizik can be suspended without pay or terminated "if University, the SEC or the NCAA concludes or has reasonable basis to believe" that he or a wide-ranging list of people deemed to be "under his supervision or subject to his control or authority is involved in significant" NCAA rules violations.
Its all a setup to get rid of Chizik. I beleive this guy is behind it LINK
