The kid is a gifted athlete. The kid is also a bigtime thug. he is smiling after every play because he knows he got paid by auburn and is about to make millions, just by being a gifted athletic thug. The sad part in all of this is that auburn rented a SEC Title for one year. They have a terrible defense, and they will fall back off the face of the earth after this year when the kid is gone. The bad part (or good part depending on what fan you are) is that cam will have come and gone in one year, but will leave the auburn program in shambles for years to come...and the auburn fans either don't understand that or don't care. They will, I assure you. He will leave a millionaire after one year, auburn will be on probation for years to come.

not just newton being gone but most of their OL are seniors and will be gone too. to my knowledge they don't have much of a QB backing newton either. even w/o all of this crap, they probably would be falling back to the middle of the pack next year because there isn't a way in hell newton doesn't go pro. now, this "crap" ain't going away so AU is gonna be screwed. i went from likeing auburn and embracing their "family" thing to actually supporting throwing them out of the sec (never happen though) and adding someone else. the way they have handled this proves to me the football program runs that university.

I agree.
Its all about:
Short.
Term.
Gratification.
Seems like most of their great seasons have been tainted in one way or another. Add this one to the list.
