Post-Bear era, few if no programs have been able to have any sense of a true "dynasty" outside of maybe Miami.
The 85 limit caused such increased parity that no program will ever see Bryant-esque runs with 6 national titles.
In reality, Alabama's 2 national titles since Bryant died are on par with the other major programs in the nation such as Florida, LSU, USC, FSU, Ohio St, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, etc. Miami is the only program post-70's to really distinguish itself above the rest.

I can't believe a Gump is actually OKAY with merely being "on par" with Florida and LSU.
