What makes me an Auburn fan is I love the University, the area, the fans, the players, and not only football but everything involved with the University. I'm sure you probably never went to bama and live your life vicariously through football like 90% of bama fans. When I say I would rather have Chizik than Saban it has nothing to do with pride or how good our football program is on a yearly basis. It has to do with not wanting a jackass to represent our University. It may be hard for you to believe, but my life doesn't revolve around watching 17-23 year old kids playing a game, but it is fun to watch.
