I think we beat UL-L, Tenn, and State. Egg bowl has been won by the home team 9 of the last 10 years.

State flag of Mississippi is confederate battle flag. The same flag that was waved at games until Tubs was coach. It's now gone.
People yelling "The South will Rise Again" during From Dixie With Love. It's now gone.
We had a mascot with Colonel in the title that is obviously a Civil War Colonel. It's gone.
It's not hard to see the state and University of Mississippi aka Ole Miss are trying to get the perception from people on the outside looking in that our racist past is behind us and we are moving forward.
That's my take on the matter. TIFWIW

Because the administration knows that if they did... I don't think they ever will because all the boosters would quit giving to the athletic program and we are doing all we can as it is to keep up with the big boys in the SEC financially.

Well that wasn't the problem, obviously, so just changing from the colonel doesn't really seem like that big of a deal, still, the land sharks, I think that would have been cool, very unique.

Changing anything about Ole Miss is stupid. Leave shite alone and accept who you are.
