hope he is Auburn's next OC. That would be amazing to have a headcase as Auburn's OC. Offensive coordinators are not exactly the guy you want running all over the field with a towel screaming at everyone.
You clearly know nothing about the man.
Keep it up though.

He's so horrible that players from apposing teams make a point to go hug the guy...during a game

quote:What's the differnce between that and a DC like Muschamp busting dry erase boards with his fist, slamming heads with the defensive players coming off the field, etc? Everyone seems to love Boom MFer but hates on Trooper, and Trooper is simply an offensive position coach who is trying to pump the crowd up whe the defense is on the field.

quote:That is changing and has been changing for the last few years. A lot of offensive and defensive coordinators are staying on the sidelines so they can talk directly to their players and not have to go through an intermediary. The guys in the boxes are often now the GAs or such and giving the coordinators an eye in the sky and tellingthem what they see from up there, but the head guys are often, often on the sidelines now.
There is a reason most of these guys are up in a coaches box planning.

I thought about that, but here is the difference. The OC needs to be a level headed guy who can chill out his QB after a big INT or bad series. Offensive play calling is something you have to plan 2 or 3 plays ahead with.
There is a huge difference in the mindset you want a QB to have and what you want a defensive tackle to have.
Maybe a wild and crazy OC would work, but it would certainly be a new thing.

Malzahn is pretty crazy for an OC. Does anyone ever notice he's always hitching his pants up every few seconds?
