I guess you've never been to Lafayette, Nachitoches, Bossier City, or the Florida parishes?

Again, I have lived in both for long periods of time and hate to say, but Alabama has a much better quality of life. Alot cleaner and more to do. Just a fact.

Alabama has a beach AKA "The Redneck Riviera" as coined by Jimmy Buffett. I will give you the beaches...but why you would choose Alabama beaches over either Florida or Mississippi beaches is beyond me.

There are plenty of nice places to live and raise a family in Louisiana. But the topic of this thread is "What in hell is there to do in Alabama?"

Louisiana wins in this category, for all the reasons I and others have listed. Alabama is a nice place, but it's part of a region.

Louisiana stands out from it's neighbors. Alabama, not so much.

Have lived here for over 6 yrs now. None of the places you mentioned are 1/2 as much fun to party in as Mobile. Period.

The Alabama beaches are very nice and a much closer drive than the Florida beaches to anyone living west of Florida.

Mississippi beaches? Seriously? Unless you are talking casinos, I really don't understand this. There is a reason most people from Mississippi drive to Gulf Shores.
