The Fannin fumble was a bad call, not sure about the fumble return as I haven't seen the replay. However, what about these
-the bogus PI call on 3rd down right before Ark's second TD.
-the bogus 4th down spot that kept a TD drive alive.
-the blatant push off by Childs on the long TD down the right sideline.
-the horrible roughing the passer call on 3rd down that kept an Ark TD drive alive when otherwise they would have been punting from their own 20.
The refs and replay officials were horrible, for both sides.

this has been addressed multiple times, but i'll do it again.
not bogus. the DB was beat to the corner so he hooked his arm completely around the WR. that was PI.
the spot was maybe an inch or two off at most. the yellow line was a good half yard beyond where the actual marker was, which made things look off.
i wouldn't have complained if that was called offensive PI.
i don't remember that one.
but the thing is - none of those was as egregious as the two HUGE calls that went Auburn's way and SHOULD HAVE been overturned with the video review.
Fannin's phantom TD = turnover to arkansas. at best, that's a 7pt swing assuming arkansas has to punt, at worst that's a 14 pt swing.
Green's "fumble" = we're going downfield, auburn hasn't been able to stop us. likely 7 pts our way, instead it's 7 pts to Auburn. a likely 14 pt swing.
don't fool yourself because of a few ticky-tack calls that might have gone arkansas's way. try to justify it all you like, but there's no real comparison. arkansas got fricked by the refs with huge momentum shifting calls that were blatantly wrong.

Even if the calls would have went the hogs way on the 2 questionable calls, auburn still would have won IMO

You act like the ball never came out of his hands.
How can you blame the ref for not calling it a fumble? He's laying on top of a defender and the ball comes out. It was bang-bang on the knee being down. That play would have been upheld if it weren't called a fumble.
That's not bad reffing or a missed call. It was a close call.

no, i'm acting like it should have been overturned on review. just like the announcers, who are looking at the same video as the review official, kept saying. gary and verne themselves kept saying "this will be overturned. he's down"

My take is that Auburn wins if game is called flawlessly, which none are, but the majority of the calls certainly went their way.

Ticky tack? Haha, ok. I appreciate you at least responding but these were bad calls that went Arkansas's way. The PI ball was uncatchable even if his arm was touching his back. The spot was bad. The push off was blatant and the roughing the passer was pathetic. Ark may still have scored on the push off series but the other two kept drives alive and the PI turned a FG into a TD. That's at least 17 points if you want to play that game.

Have you seen where the ball was thrown? It was un-catchable, should never have been a penalty.

Dude that is just tough to watch. What a bunch of shite

his arm wasn't just touching his back. he had his arm completely around the WR.
if you want to keep doing this back and forth, i saw at least one other PI on AU that wasn't called, and Kodi Burns' "excellent" block in the first half when he cut out the legs of an Arkansas defender was made while the ball was in the air, which is illegal.
you seriously can't compare two shitty calls that completely changed who possesses the ball and directly led to giving AU TD's with a PI call that, if not called, would have ended with Arkansas getting 3 pts instead of 7

No but you can with three others that directly led to Arkansas TDs. Push off, bad spot, roughing the passer on 3rd down.

push off = at worst 3 pts for arkansas instead of 7
bad spot = rewatch it. show me evidence that it was a terrible spot. the yellow line was compeletely off from the marker so don't go off of that.
roughing the passer = i still don't remember that one.

Just face it, you couldn't stop Newton and your backup QB eventually folded like a tent under the pressure of the 4th quarter. That's the ultimate reason why you lost the game. Accept it and move on.

No game is called perfectly and AU does occasionally get a bad call against it...but every big, game changing call will go AU's way. At least it seems that way.
I'm still jaded by the 2006 LSU game, the worst hose job in the history of organized football, a win AU should not be proud of.

i concede all of that.
still doesn't change the fact that we got blatantly fricked by the refs.
