According to the SportsAnimal in Knoxville, Tennessee Sophomore RB David Oku has opted to leave the program. The report at this time has not been confirmed, but rumored for weeks. Oku had fallen to 4th on the depth chart at tailback behind Jr. Tauren Poole, Fr. Rajion Neal, and Fr. Toney Williams. The sophomore had also been relieved of his kick return duties in the recent weeks, being replaced by Fr. Eric Gordon and Fr. Justin Hunter.

with who you guys have, he would have been sitting the bench there too. If he can't make an impact on Tennessee, with THAT roster, it seems hopeless.

Heard a lot had to do with his poor attitude. But, who knows.. He looked like he was always running with weights in his shoes and when you think of the overall team speed of Tennessee, that's pretty telling.

Another one of Kiffin's post-signing day recruits with questionable character leaving. Can't say it's a huge surprise.

No truth to the rumor per Knoxville News Sentinel.
