There can be no "fumbled snap". The snap is a backward pass....if the QB doesn't acheive possession, it's a muffed backward pass. It remains a muffed backward pass until someone gains possession.

no....when the QB is under center, it can be fumbled since the center "possessed" the ball first when he tried to "hand off" the ball to the QB
