looks like he will be given the option. Man what a tough decision.

Texas - recruiting easy as hell. #1 marketable program in the country

UGA - Alma mater, in the SEC, his wife is from there.

he will get paid either place he goes. Money is not going to matter.

I have a feeling Kirby Smart or WM will be the next one...

Recruiting at Georgia ain't so bad either. Georgia can bring in a Top 5, Top 10 class every year.

who knows

Coaching in the SEC and at his alma mater I'm sure is appealing though. Could be a young Saban.

Georgia and LSU are probably equivalent jobs

I don't think he will leave Texas because he's got the free ride that assistant coaches dream of:

1. Job security
2. He's making a shite ton of money
3. Players that aren't scrubs(most of the time).

It's the american dream. Why would he risk all that to go to UGA and be on the hot seat from day one?

Mack could be HC at Texas for several more years so it depends how long WM is willing to remain as an assistant.

UGA would be crazy to hire Smart. He is not even close to being ready for a major HC job. Only 2 seasons ago he was a DB coach and even now he is not the guy making the defensive calls on important downs.

Why, I didn't see the Texas/UCLA game but the defense couldn't have looked very good. I personally think he's overrated!!

I wouldn't go that far. Texas's defense is built to stop the spread offenses so common in the Big 12. They are fast but undersized.

UCLA obviously saw the BCS title game from last year and game planned the same way Alabama did.

Muschamp has publicly stated that UGA is his dream job. He said this when he was the DC at Auburn and rumors were swirling that he might be going somewhere else.

I figured when Smart turned down more money to make a lateral move to UGa, he was counting on Richt getting the axe within the next two years, so he could get the HC gig at his alma mater.

Looks like it could happen sooner rather than later.
