Why cant it be rotated between New Orleans and Atlanta so the east dosent (more or less ) have home field advantage

this needs to be changed

i'm not real sure it's a home field advantage considering that the tickets are distributed equally.

The East never has a home field advantage.

If AU or Bama play, they are geographically closer than any SEC E team outside of UGA.

LSU travels well enough to make it a split game.

It hasnt even been an advantage for the East when UGA plays in it.

i think there's something to be said for stability. having it in one place every year has worked, why change it? (fwiw, lsu has a 3-1 record in atlanta, Auburn a 1-1, and bama a 2-3.) the only teams that could make the claim that it has hurt them is arkansas, who is 0-3 or Miss St, who is 0-1. And the only year either of those teams were even competitive enough to claim that the venue MIGHT have had soemthing to do with thir loss was 2006.)

Look at the records, I think that the outcome of the SECCG stands pretty much at .500. If either division has a lead it is at most one or two games.

Also, if the SEC were to leave the GA Dome don't think for a minute that the ACC wouldn't swoop in on it. If the SEC wanted to be away from Atlanta every other year, and the ACC would promise to be there every year then the SEC would be SOL with coming back.

East- 11
West- 7

But that has alot to do with bama being the only west team in the 90's to win it.

since 2000, the record is

East- 5
west- 5
