LSU is a top 10 job in CFB. he would absolutely come here, imo.

upgrade in salary, resources, recruits, opportunity to win championships, not a far move from Fort Worth for he and his family, already has recruiting experience in Texas and Louisiana..

Patterson is like Peterson, he's content to stay at a smaller program. Sometimes the money and resources aren't everything. Franchione's failures, after leaving a successful tenure at TCU, would be on his mind as well. Not to mention the fact that we're talking about the possibility of firing a coach three years after winning a national title. Patterson himself isn't that far removed from a 5-6 season at TCU.

In most cases, I agree with you. This would be a bad PR move. In this case, Les Miles has become a national laughing stock and I doubt that anyone will blame us for firing him. Shula had a stronger case to stay at Alabama just one season removed from a 10 win year because you guys had been on probation and he went there when no one else would.

It will be interesting to see Finebaum and Tony Barnhardt run LSU fans down when Miles is fired though. Those hypocrites love to have it both ways and Bama fans will eat it up.
