You did know that Greg passed for 4,636 yards, 57 TD's, 9 intercepts as a starter in high school. He lead his team to an undefeated season (16-0) and a Texas 5A state championship. He was named the Texas 5A Player of the Year and an EA Sports All-American.

McElroy's 56 touchdown passes ranks first all-time in the Texas 5A classification, and second all-time in Texas high school football history, only behind Graham Harrell's 67 touchdowns in 2003. His 4,646 yards passing currently ranks fifth all-time in Texas.

Then he comes to Alabama and his first year starting he leads his team to an undefeated (14-0) SEC and National Championship. He earned MVP for the SEC Championship game.

There are not a lot of QB's in the nation that can claim a portion of what McElroy has earned.
